Scranton Woman Accused Of Taking More Than $3,000 From Post Office Through Fraudulent Money Orders

A Scranton woman is accused of issuing fraudulent money orders to her family members while working as a Postal Support Employee at the post office in Lanesboro. According to court records, 65-year-old Connie J. Grim issued $3,200 in money orders to herself, Gerry Grim and C.J. Grim from Dec. 28, 2016 to May 11, 2017. She attempted to hide the orders by falsifying dates and financial statements and has been subsequently charged with second degree fraudulent practice, a class D felony. She has been ordered to appear before a magistrate in Carroll County District Court on Thursday, Aug. 10.
