The Sac County Sheriff’s Office welcomed a new deputy on Tuesday morning during the regular meeting of the Sac County Board of Supervisors. Deputy Taylor Koontz graduated from the Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) regional law enforcement academy in March of 2014, at which time he was an officer with the Paulina Police Department. He served on their police force for the past four years.
