Sac City Woman Arrested On Drug Charges During Delivery Of A Nuisance Abatement Letter

A Sac City woman has been arrested on drug charges after law enforcement discovered marijuana at her home. At approximately 6:59 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, a Sac City Police Department officer arrived at 1408 Irvine Street to deliver a nuisance abatement letter and smelled marijuana in the residence. A tenant, 22-year-old Samantha Gangelhoff, consented to a search in which drug paraphernalia and a substance believed to be marijuana was located in the home. A field test confirmed the unknown material as marijuana, and Ganglehoff was arrested and booked into the Sac County Jail. She has been charged with possession of a controlled substance—marijuana—first offense, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. The suspected drugs were taken to the Carroll Police Department for lab testing. The Sac County Sheriff’s Office and K-9 Toby assisted in the search.
