The Employer’s Council of Iowa (ECI) and IowaWORKS are bringing a training program to Carroll to educate employees on how to deal with workplace violence. The seminar is called S.A.V.E. Yourself and will be led by Chad Sheehan, a 23-year law enforcement veteran. Training will focus on prevention, recognition and proactive responses to a crisis. S.A.V.E. Yourself teaches the most up-to-date philosophies and practices used by organizations such as the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice. The two-hour program takes place on Wednesday, July 26 at 2 p.m. at the Santa Maria Winery. A $20 registration is required to attend the program and includes refreshments during the presentation.
