Rockwell City will be celebrating Christmas early this year as they kick off the Christmas season in Rockwell City at the beginning of next month. The celebration begins at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3 as children lineup for the Santa’s Kiddie Parade at the Heartland Market at 319 Court St. and concluding at the Gardens on 4th. At 5 p.m., the community Christmas tree in the gardens will be lit with a special ceremony. For those not wanting to brave the cold, a variety of other activities will be available at the Library Community Center. From 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. the Table of Treasures Shopping Fair will be open to do some holiday browsing. A dinner of pork loin sandwiches and hot dogs will be serves from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Kids will have a chance to visit Santa from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and drawings for community gifts begin at 5:30 p.m. Trolley rides will be offered to view decorations around town beginning at 5:15 p.m. A full list of the scheduled events can be found included below this story.
