Reward Offered For Information On Fort Dodge Shooting That Resulted In Man’s Death

A reward of up to $500 is now being offered to anyone with information, video or knowledge of video related to the Sept. 3 shooting at 10th Ave. and 10th Street SW in Fort Dodge. The Webster County Crime Stoppers are offering the reward in the incident which resulted in the death of 32-year-old Shane Wessels of Fort Dodge. Police arrived at the scene after receiving several reports at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday that a man was lying in the roadway. Wessels was pronounced dead later at Trinity Regional Medical Center. The Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has joined the Fort Dodge Police Department in investigating the incident, which includes reports of an altercation taking place in the street right before the shooting.
