Registration For SCCB Summer Camps Open First Day Of Spring

The Sac County Conservation Board opens registration for their summer camp programs on the first day of spring at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 20. Camps take place at Hagge Park south of Sac City and have a limited number of spaces available per session. Groups are separated by age. Camps for children, ages five to seven, are $30 per child, take place from June 6 to 8, June 13-15 and June 20-22 and last two-and-a-half hours. Eight to 10 year olds have camps available on June 27 to 29 and July 11 to 13 at a cost of $40 per camper. Older kids, ages 10-14 have only one camp available, but it is an overnight campout from July 19-20 and costs $45. To sign up, parents will need to submit a registration form, permission slip and associated fees. Those fees include supplies, snacks and a t-shirt. Forms are available at the Sac County Conservation Building in Hagge Park. Questions about any of the specific camps can be directed to Naturalist, Megan Cook, by phone at 712-662-4530 or email at sccbnat@frontiernet.net.
