Raslton Receives Funding For New Drinking Water Well

The City of Ralston will be receiving $275,000 for a new drinking water well through a State Revolving Fund Construction Loan. The Iowa Finance Authority and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced that Ralston is one of 18 Iowa communities to receive one of the low-cost, water quality loans totaling more than $63.5 million. The Construction Loans are offered at very low rates, while the Planning and Design Loans are offered to Iowa cities and municipalities at zero percent. Just last year, more than 600,000 Iowans in over 600 communities have seen improvements in quality water infrastructure through the program, which has provided more than $2.6 billion in Construction Loans and more than $166 million in Planning and Design Loans since the program’s inception.
