The American Lung Association of Iowa and the Iowa Department of Public Health have launched their annual Radon Poster Contest during National Radon Action Month. Students nine to 14 years old are encouraged to submit self-made posters that help build awareness and encourage testing. Winners are eligible to win cash prizes of up to $300. Posters are due March 2, and the guidelines and entry forms are available by following the link included with this story on our website. In addition, the Iowa Lung Association has launched their 2017 Iowa High School Radon Video Contest. High School students can create a one-minute public service announcement or commercial for a chance to win up to $800 in prizes. The top 10 video contestants will also have an opportunity to win a Most Views competition with the top video receiving $300. Videos must be submitted by 5 p.m. on March 9.
