No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident that occurred at about 12:43 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on U Ave. and 170th Street near Dana. Forty-nine-year-old Thomas Kennedy of Jefferson was stopped at the 170th Street stop sign in a 2004 Ford Expedition. He did not see a 2004 Buick LeSabre, driven by 69-year-old Bonnie Subbert of Paton, driving northbound on U Ave. and pulled out in front of the vehicle. There was an estimated $1,000 in damage to the Expedition and $2,500 to the LeSabre.
