No Injuries In Semi/Car/Deer Accident Thursday Near Jefferson

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two-vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. A deputy responded to Highway 4, near 250th Street south of Jefferson. Seventy-seven-year-old Sharon Ostendorf of Jefferson was northbound Highway 4 when she struck a deer. When she hit her brakes for the deer, a 2015 Peter Bilt Semi-tractor trailer, driven by 36-year-old Brian Malsom of New Auburn, Wisc. rear ended the Ostendorf 2011 Chevrolet Malibu. There were no injuries reported, but there was an estimated $10,000 in damage to the Malibu and $7,000 to the semi. No citations were issued.
