New Hope Foundation Is Taking Fundraising To The Trails And The Links

New Hope Village will be hosting two fundraisers in July, giving everyone in the area an opportunity to have some fun for a good cause. For golf lovers out there, the 25th annual New Hope Golf Classic will tee off with two shotgun start times at 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 21 at the Carroll Country Club. There will be flight, pin and door prizes at the conclusion of each round and a complimentary lunch will be provided. Funds raised through the golf tournament will be used by the New Hope Foundation for repairing and renovating the buildings, grounds and equipment. For those who prefer to hit the trails instead of the links, New Hope will also be holding a fun bike ride on the Sauk Rail Trail. This relaxed ride will begin and end at Whiskey Run in Maple River on Thursday, July 20. Check in time is at 2 p.m. with the 16-mile round-trip ride getting under way at 2:30 p.m. There will be rest stops with snacks and beverages all along the route and riders will return to Whiskey River at about 5:30 p.m. for more fun, food and beverages, the cost of which is included in the ride. Individual cyclists can join for $60 or four individuals can team up for $200. Registration is required by July 14. More information and registration forms for the golf outing and the bike ride can be found at the New Hope website at www.newhopevillage.org, and additional contact details for the Golf Classic are included below.
