A Minnesota man was arrested last week after a fight in Carroll at the Fairview Apartments. On Thursday, Aug. 3 at approximately 8:59 p.m., the Carroll Police Department responded to 512 East 18th Street. When law enforcement arrived, they were told by a group of people standing outside that the altercation occurred in apartment B4. An officer entered the apartment and found Turial Ngut Buol bleeding from his nose and face. Buol and another witness claim four men jumped Buol after they were allowed inside, and he was repeatedly struck and kicked while he was on the ground. He says he was knocked unconscious during the incident. Buol and the witness identified 26-year-old Kim David Reat, of Worthington, Minn. in a photo line-up as one of the perpetrators. On Friday, Aug. 4, law enforcement encountered Reat at approximately 5:25 a.m. and took him into custody. He was transported to the Carroll County jail and is charged with assault causing bodily injury or mental illness, a serious misdemeanor. The identity of the three other men is currently not known.
