Mid-January Traffic Stop Leads To Search Of Scranton Residence Monday

A traffic stop in Carroll on Wednesday, Jan. 18 netted just shy of 112 grams of marijuana and a little over 55.5 grams of marijuana wax and also led to a search warrant executed in Greene County on Monday, Jan. 30. At approximately 4:05 p.m. on Jan. 18, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office stopped a 1999 Chrysler Cirrus driven by a 23-year-old male from Scranton whose identity has not yet been released. The drugs were seized at that time and an initial investigation led the Carroll County authorities to team up with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office to conduct the search warrant in the 1000 block of Eagle Street in Scranton at approximately 6 a.m. Monday morning. The search uncovered controlled substances and drug paraphernalia and charges are pending in both cases.
