Maker Camp Comes To Sac City Public Library Next Week

The Maker Movement continues to gain traction across the region as the Sac City Public Library launches their newest program, Maker Camp, next week. The idea encourages youth to get hands-on with their learning by building and programming robots, learning about science or exploring nature. Their first seminar begins on Thursday, July at 1 p.m. in the library and will have students create their own ‘slime’. Sessions will also be held the remaining three Thursday in July and range in topics from chemistry to biology. Maker programs have started at the Carroll Middle School, Carroll Public Library among many others. Maker Camp is recommended for children who have finished third grade or higher.
