Local Radio Announcer One Of Many Write-In Candidates To Win Seats In Tuesday’s Elections

A local radio announcer is one of the many write-in candidates to win a seat on a city council following elections across the listening area Nov. 7. Lance Coon, best known as the voice of 93.7 KKRL in the afternoon, will be taking an open seat on the Lohrville City Council. Coon says a fellow citizen suggested he consider the opportunity to take a leadership role.

Coon never officially filed to run in the election, but says he was aware there was a possibility he could wake up as a write-in winner.

Write-in candidates must accept the role if they win an election and Coon has indicated he will do so. For those who do not know him, Coon says he will be there to run Lohrville to the best of his abilities.

Coon was one of more than 15 write-in candidates to win a seat after Tuesday’s election. Elections results for the listening area can be found by following the link included with this story on our website.
