Landus Cooperative Offers Non-GMO Seed Program

Landus Cooperative is reminding growers that there is still time to take advantage of a premium-rich, non-GMO soybean seed program. Landus has contracted non-GMO soybean acres to meet the new demand from dairy producer consumers requesting non-GMO SoyPlus manufactured at the cooperative’s recently expanded soy crush facility in Ralston. “As consumers demand non-GMO dairy products, our dairy herd customers across the country are eager to get their hands on non-GMO feed ingredients like SoyPlus,” explained Mark Cullen, chief animal nutrition officer. According to Tom Guinan, vice president of producer grain marketing for Landus, the wet weather allows producers the opportunity to switch to the program, which offers harvest premiums starting at $1.15 per bushel over the Ralston bid. More information is available through the local Landus Cooperative offices.
