The Lake View City Council approved the purchase of a new vehicle for the Electric Department at Monday night’s meeting. The city was searching to add a new F-550 to their fleet and received two bids for the truck. Champion Ford, of Carroll, offered a bid of $45,860, and Beckman Motors, of Odebolt, submitted a bid of $45,775. Council-members approved the bid from Beckman motors with four in favor, none against and one council-member absent. The truck will be used to maintain and repair equipment throughout the city and for a variety of other city uses.
