Kuemper High School (KHS) students, staff and chaperones are leaving next week for Mission Honduras and are getting a special send off from the entire school. On Tuesday, March 28, the missioners will be attending a special, live-streamed mass at the KHS Chapel beginning at 1:45 p.m. After the service, they will “run the halls” of the St. Angela Center with cheers of good luck and well wishes. Mission Honduras was founded by Kuemper’s Faith Coordinator, Mike McCarty, after he went on his own mission trip to the country in March 2017 and saw the needs of the people there. Thirteen students and 15 adults fly out of Omaha Wednesday, March 29 to assist the rural Hondurans. The sendoff can be viewed via livestream by following the link included below this story.
