There has been great news come in for Kellan’s Kingdom, Carroll’s first playground that will feature equipment for all children, including items for those with physical and developmental disabilities. City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says they applied for and received a sizeable grant for the project.
While the playground is in the initial development stage, there has already been talk of an expansion to more all-inclusive features.
The space needed for this addition, however, will require more than what may be available at Graham Park. Pogge-Weaver says they have begun discussing options.
Pogge-Weaver says it is really exciting to see how the city has taken on this project and how it is growing, even before it has been built.
