The Jefferson Police Department has opened an investigation into a reported assault received at about 10:00 p.m. on Saturday night. The alleged assault, which was reported to have occurred in the 300 block of East Gallop Road, resulted in a juvenile being stabbed in the hand by a pocket knife in the possession of another juvenile. This incident remains under investigation.
