The Jefferson Matters: Main Street Board of Directors has nominated eight different organizations and events for the 2017 Iowa Main Street awards. The submissions range from fundraising projects to renovations. Each Main Street community is encouraged to write nominations for a number of different categories completed from January 2015 to December 2016. Over 160 nominations have been submitted to Main Street Iowa from the 52 Main Street Communities. The awards will be presented on Friday, April 7 at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines.
