An entertainment staple of communities in years past is being brought back to Jefferson next Tuesday, Aug. 22 with an old-fashioned band concert in the downtown district. Taking place on Farmer’s Market night on the square, the Town & Country Band, made up of volunteer musicians, will begin playing at 6 p.m. on the north side of the courthouse. The concert is expected to last about an hour. The band will be collecting free-will donations during the concert. The Farmer’s Market, located on the east side of the courthouse, will run from 4 to 6 p.m.
