Java And Juice Going Strong In Jefferson

It is the first week of August, and Jefferson Matters: Main Street is going strong with their Java & Juice in Jefferson program. Director, Peg Raney, reports the turnout for the weekly events have been great with an average running between 20 and 30 attendees. These half-hour long opportunities to learn more about the local businesses, business owners and employees start on Friday’s at 9:30 a.m. with the host providing java, juice and a treat for attendees. At 9:45, the business owner introduces themselves and their staff and provides an overview and background of the business. Raney notes that several of the businesses that will be hosting in the coming months are just opening their doors, so this is a great time to get to know them better. The program will end for the year in October and resume in the spring. The featured business this Friday, Aug. 4 is Peoples Trust and Savings Bank. The program will travel the remainder of the month to Greater Life Chiropractic on Aug. 11, Spare Time Lanes and Lounge on Aug. 18 and Wells Fargo Bank on Aug. 25.
