ISU’s NW Iowa Research Farm Hosts Field Day July 12

Iowa State University (ISU) is hosting a field day next week for farmers and the public to hear about the latest in agriculture. The event takes place on Wednesday, July 12 at ISU’s Northwest Iowa Research and Demonstration Farm near Sutherland. The field day is open to the public with registration open at 9 a.m. and the program starts at 9:30 a.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to see current research projects and talk with the researchers behind those experiments. Several presenters will be on hand throughout the day. They will cover topics such as the 2017-18 crop market outlook, insecticide resistance in soybean aphids, using unmanned aircraft for aerial field imaging and weed management practices. There is no charge to attend the seminar, and a lunch will be provided during the event for a minimal charge. More details about the field day can be found below.

The farm is located about one-quarter mile east of Highway 50 on B-62, about two miles south of Calumet or 12 miles north of Cherokee.
