Iowa Seniors Can Enter For Chance At One Of 30 Scholarships

Iowa high school seniors are being offered a shot at one of 30 scholarships worth $2,000 each, and they also get to learn more about financial literacy, especially in educational lending, at the same time. And on top of that, the student’s high schools will each receive a $500 award. The Iowa Student Loan sponsored Iowa Financial Know-How Challenge: Senior Scholarship Program will be accepting applications through Feb. 16. Students are asked to complete two online financial literacy tutorials, with winners coming from the highest scores on the related assessment. Registered students will also receive emails highlighting financial literacy tips, such as the importance of early career and college planning and ways to reduce student loan indebtedness. In the first week of the program, more than 1,200 Iowa high school seniors registered, with 35 percent completing the requirements so far. Full rules and details are available through the link included below.
