Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is now taking applications from college-aged Iowans for fall internships. There are openings available in Grassley’s offices in Washington, D.C., Cedar Rapids, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Des Moines, Sioux City and Waterloo. Interns will be required to assist staff members with administrative, legislative and communications work, including that of the staff on the Senate Judiciary Committee. “Working in a congressional office is a good way for college students and new graduates to learn more about the legislative branch of the federal government while gaining valuable experience,” Grassley says. Internships are available for a variety of different studies in the program that will run from Aug. 21 through Dec. 15. Application forms are available at Grassley’s Iowa offices or online.
