Interior And Concrete Main Pieces Left For Glidden’s Kruger Shelter House

Construction on the Kruger Shelter House in Glidden is in its last stages, and only the final touches remain before it will be available for use. The structure, located in the Glidden Aquatic Center Park in the northwest section of town, still has entrance and interior work to be completed. Members of the Peace Lutheran Church have already volunteered to provide the labor to install the kitchen appliances, countertops and other cosmetic finishes to the inside. On Monday, the city council awarded a bid to Richardson Construction, of Glidden, for $7,125 to complete the two entries. The first section will connect a concrete pad on the front of the shelter house to the Glidden Aquatic Center Parking lot. The other portion will feature steps to the outdoor canopy in the park. The current project schedule projects July 1 as the completion date for the project.
