Inland Sea-Harlan Gains Anchor Investment For Salmon Production Facility

Inland Sea—Harlan continues to seek investors in their capital campaign to build a state-of-the-art recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) salmon production facility in Harlan. They announced Wednesday that an anchor investment was made by Reicks View Farms of Lawler. “We are pleased and honored to have Reicks View Farms as the lead investor for this project. Dale Reicks and his family are experts in protein production with a keen appreciation for technology, sustainability and diversity in agriculture,” says Kevin Kimle, CEO of Inland Sea—Harlan, LLC. Prior to investing, owner, Dale Reicks, traveled to Europe and viewed the production technology, and says he believes in the system, the people of Inland Sea and the benefits of producing salmon in the Midwest. The proposed two-acre facility in Harlan was selected due to its readily available, low-cost utilities and water and excellent access to highway, interstate and air transportation. The $50 million project is anticipated to begin in late 2017 or early 2018, and when completed will produce an estimated 5.3 million pounds of salmon per year. Investment opportunities are still available for accredited investors who have a net worth of at least one million U.S. dollars, excluding their residence, or have income of at least $200,000 each year for the last two years, $300,000 if married. The rest of the project will be financed through a 506(c) private placement offering and senior debt financing. More information can be found through the link below.
