Gubernatorial Candidate, John Norris, To Speak At Greene County Democratic Party Meeting Tonight

Democratic candidate for governor, John Norris, and the party’s Iowa State Organizing director, Blair Lawton, will be attending the Greene County Democrat’s monthly meeting tonight (Tuesday). Lawton will be discussing the upcoming caucus Feb. 5 as well as caucus training that will take place in January. Norris, who grew up on a farm in Red Oak and was a small business owner in Greenfield, will join the group shortly after 7 p.m. to introduce himself and discuss his platform. Norris has formerly served twice as chief of staff to Tom Vilsack (during his term as governor and at the USDA), as Chair of the Iowa Utilities Board, commissioner for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and he was appointed by President Obama to be the U.S. Representative for agricultural policy at the U.N. The meeting will be held at the Greene County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach Office and the public is invited to attend.
