Gov. Reynolds Encourages Seniors To Apply For Scholarship To National Youth Science Camp

High school seniors are being encouraged by Gov. Kim Reynolds to submit applications for scholarships to attend the 2018 National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp). The camp will be held this summer near Bartow, West Virginia and provides students the opportunity to exchange ideas with scientists and other experts from universities, businesses and governmental agencies. Activities include lectures, hands-on presentations from scientists from across the nation, an overnight camping trip into Monongahela National Forest and trips to Washington, D.C. Scholarship winners will be selected based on academic achievement in science and the potential to serve in leadership roles. Participants arrive Wednesday, June 27 and depart Saturday, July 21. The scholarship will cover nearly all aspects of the trip, including educational and recreational programming, meals, lodging and round-trip airfare. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb 28, 2018 and can be found online by following the link included below this story.
