The City of Glidden held their annual Winter Wonderland event just over one week ago and are happy to announce high community support to the philanthropy drives held during the holiday celebration. Over 250 clothing items were collected through Glidden’s Mitten Tree. The hats, mittens, gloves and other winter wear will be donated to the Glidden Ralston Elementary for use by students in need. Winter Wonderland participants aimed to keep people warm, but also keep them fed. Nearly 115 food items were collected and will be donated to the Community of Concern food pantry. The City of Glidden staff expressed their sincere thanks to the community for their generosity.
