Glidden-Ralston And South Central Calhoun Saw Contested Seats In Tonight’s Election

Results are in for two of the four contested races in regional school board elections. There were five candidates running for three open at-large seats for the Glidden-Ralston Community School District. The three who will be filling those open positions are Jeremy David, who received 145 votes, Renee Schon with 139 and Andy Thielen who received 128 votes. The other two candidates were Kathleen Walker-Brown with four votes and Robert Brown who had 14 from the 154 total voters. And South Central Calhoun Community School District had five open seats with six candidates running. Four incumbents were up for re-election and each won back their seats for another term. They are Kari Musselman with 151 votes, Jason Hawkins with 138, Darci Lightner who received 170 votes and Judy Hungate with 160. The contested at-large seat was won by Chris Green with 111 votes over Nick Spencer’s 72. We are still awaiting results from IKM-Manning and Coon Rapids-Bayard and will bring those to you as soon as they become available.
