Calhoun County law enforcement agencies are seeing some support at the gas pumps in a fundraising campaign through an Iowa-based gas and diesel retailer. STAR Energy FS/FAST STOP Express out of Manson has created a special fuel credit card as a part of their “Help Fuel the Thin Blue Line” campaign that will forward three cents per gallon from every credit card purchase to the Calhoun County Peace Officers Association (CCPOA). There will be 31 different law enforcement agencies who will benefit from the program, but no specific projects have been earmarked for use of the proceeds. For those who already hold a STAR Energy FS/FAST STOP Express card, they just need to download a form from their website to confirm participation. A new card will then be mailed out. For those who do not already have a card, they can apply online or call to have a credit application mailed out. A link to the website and phone contact details can be found below.
