Snow is in the short-term forecast, but many people are itching to get to work on spring projects both inside and outside of their home. This weekend is the perfect opportunity to check on the newest and best items, ideas and assistance for your projects at the Fort Dodge Messenger’s Annual Home and Garden Expo. The expo will be open Friday, March 10 from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Iowa Central East Campus in Fort Dodge. Master gardeners and horticulturists will join vendors, educational presenters and spotlight entertainers at this popular annual event. Entry into the Expo this year is free of charge, courtesy of the Hy-Vee Market Grille Express. They will be accepting donations of non-perishable items for the local food pantries.
