Fourth Annual Trivia Night Supports Construction At Domus Trinitatis

It has only been about six months since three Catholic Sisters have taken up residence at the convent at Domus Trinitatis, a 30-acre spiritual renewal and retreat south of Carroll near Willey. The priest’s residence is nearly completed and 12 small cottages will be next up on the construction schedule. Julie Masching, who has been involved with the fundraising and development for Domus Trinitatis, said they are currently offering catechism lessons along with different types of studies and retreats at the site. Masching said fundraising efforts are continuing with the fourth annual Trivia Night.

Individuals are invited to attend and will be paired up with others. There are already 16 tables reserved, but Masching said they have room for five or six more tables for the Saturday, March 11 event.

Masching said people who have come in the past find it so much fun they come back again.

Cost is $180 for a table of eight or $25 for an individual. Reservations for tables can be made by calling 712-775-2198. Ten Mulligans will be included in the price of a ticket. Details on how to get more information about Domus Trinitatis can be found below. Domus Trinitatis was conceived by Sister Marie Hesed in 2012 when a donation of the more than 30 acres of land was made. She began fulfilling her mission to answer the call of God and was able to bring the idea to reality with a groundbreaking in April of 2015. Plans for the site include the residences for clergy and the retreat cottages as well as a spiritual center, meditation gardens and an adoration chapel.
