A Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Criminal Justice professor and Program Chair has been named professor of the year. Jessica Cole was first awarded the 2017 Iowa Association of Community College Trustees (IACCT) professor of the year, then nominated for the national award. DMACC announced this week that Cole has been named the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Central Region Faculty Award winner. She will be officially receiving the award at the national conference in Las Vegas in late September. DMACC Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs and Ankeny Campus Provost, Dr. Kim Linduska, says that Cole has been instrumental in developing training programs for Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents in 36 states.
