Disgruntled Patron Breaks Laundromat Machine To Get To Clothes

A disgruntled laundromat patron damages a washing machine to retrieve his clothing on Monday night. At approximately 6:59 p.m., the Jefferson Police Department responded to a report that a gentleman’s clothing was stuck in a washing machine at an establishment in the 300 block of West Reed Street. As the officer worked to contact a business owner, Shawn Ellsbury became more agitated, breaking the glass out of the machine and removing his clothes. The owner of the business and Ellsbury have managed to work out an agreement on the damages to the machine without further assistance from law enforcement.
