Diocese Of Sioux City Names St. Rose Of Lima Principal To Serve As Interim Superintendent

The Diocese of Sioux city announced today (Wednesday) they have selected an interim superintendent of Catholic Schools while they search for a permanent replacement for her predecessor. Patty Lansink was selected to fill the role. Lansink worked as principal of St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Denison since 2011 and also served as the assistant superintendent of the Diocese of Sioux City since 2015. Lansink has more than 20 years of experience in education and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from Iowa State University with an endorsement in science education, a Master’s of Science in Education from Buena Vista University and completed her Education Specialist degree from Wayne State University last December. Lansink is filling for Dr. Dan Ryan, after he resigned to become president at Dowling Catholic High School in Des Moines. The Sioux City Diocese has 16 school systems in western Iowa, including Kuemper Catholic Schools.
