Iowa Deputy Secretary of Agriculture, Mike Naig, says he is pleased with the selection of Wendy Wintersteen as the 16th president of Iowa State University (ISU). He says Dean Wintersteen has provided strong leadership for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at ISU, and worked tirelessly to make sure the university is a respected voice that provides the most current and relevant scientific information. “She is a proven leader who values collaboration and bringing science and technology to address the important issues facing the state,” Naig says. “The president sets the tone from the top and we are so excited to continue working with Dr. Wintersteen in her new role.”
