Court Date Scheduled For Lanesboro Man Found With 150 Grams Of Marijuana During Traffic Stop

A court date for a Lanesboro man accused of multiple felony drug violation has been schedule for early next year in Iowa’s Second Judicial District. Twenty-eight-year-old Cody Lee Sellman will appear before a jury on Jan. 9, 2018 to answer to charges of a controlled substance violation, a class C felony, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a class D felony, keeping a premises or vehicle for controlled substance distribution and driving while barred, both aggravated misdemeanors. The charges stem from a traffic stop on Sept. 24 by a Carroll County Sheriff’s Office deputy near the intersection of Highways 141 and 71 in which nearly 150 grams of marijuana were located in Sellman’s possession. If found guilty of the charges, Sellman faces up to 19 years in prison and a maximum of $30,000 in fines.
