Carroll County Engineer, Dave Paulson, says he received four bids for a box culvert project at Willow Creek. The engineers estimate was $101,830.34 on what he calls a unique project.
There were a broad range of dollar amounts represented with the bidding. The highest bid was received from Graves Construction Company of Spencer at a little over $182,000. Casey’s Gus Construction Company came in at just over $143,000, while Peterson Contractors, Inc. of Reinbeck bid about $131,500. The winning bid, however, did come in under Paulson’s original estimate.
The job was awarded to Richards Construction of Sac City.
