Wall Lake’s Cookies Food Products teams up each year with the Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation to honor 10 Iowans who demonstrate an honest work ethic and dedication to their community, all while showing an exceptional sense of Iowa pride. Nominations are being taken now through July 1 with winners recognized as Iowan of the Day at the 2017 Iowa State Fair, August 10, through Aug. 20. They will all receive $200 in cash, use of a golf cart for the day, VIP parking, gate admission, hotel accommodations at the Des Moines Downtown Marriott, four tickets to the evening Grandstand event and they will be introduced on the Anne and Bill Riley stage. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Blue Ribbon Foundation, which has generated more than $128 million for renovations and improvements to the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Nomination forms are available through the contact points below. Nominations from 2014, 2015 and 2016 will be reconsidered, but all nominees must currently reside in Iowa.
