A Churdan man was seriously injured in a single vehicle accident Saturday night near Paton. At approximately 9:09 p.m., the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Greene County Emergency Medical Services responded to 130th Street just west of Paton to find a 2005 Chevrolet Trail Blazer had rolled into the ditch. The driver, 46-year-old Delores Gross of Churdan was not seriously injured, but 47-year-old John Grayson was air lifted to a Des Moines hospital for treatment of his injuries. Gross was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated, second offense, and failure to maintain control. The vehicle was deemed a total loss.
