CHS Graduates 113 Seniors During Sunday’s Commencement

The families and friends of 113 Carroll High School (CHS) seniors celebrated their graduation ceremony on Sunday, and four of the students were able to leave a message for their classmates as they venture into the world. Ashley Feld welcomed everyone to the commencement and asked her fellow students to reflect on their time at CCSD.

Feld, along with Spencer Armstrong, Nathan Haberl, Alexander Janning, Austin Jeschke, Cole Moore, Ashtyn Perrin, William Pudenz, Noah Schulte and Jamie Stuhr were all recognized for finishing in the Top 10. The Salutatorian for the Class of 2017, Jamie Stuhr, did not give her classmates advice, but rather told them to look forward to their futures.

William Pudenz was named the graduating class’ valedictorian. In his address to the audience, he read a poem titled, “The Paradoxical Commandments.” He challenged the graduating class to make the world a better place, and to not give way in the face of adversity.

Following the presentation of diplomas, Student Senate President, Spencer Armstrong, gave these parting words.

Cheers filled the gymnasium as the newly graduated seniors left with their final days within those Carroll High School walls behind them. Pictures and full audio from the ceremony can be found included below this story.
