At approximately 12:47 p.m. Wednesday, the Jefferson Police Department received a phone call that a driver was approaching town from the east on 235th Street and was all over the road, nearly striking a bridge. An officer performed a traffic stop in the 600 block of East Lincolnway Street and noticed a smoking device containing burnt residue in the driver’s door panel during his investigation of the complaint. The driver was determined to be having a medical issue and Greene County Emergency Medical Services was contacted. Charges are pending lab testing of the smoking device.
