Students involved in the Maker Squad at the Carroll Middle School (CMS) are hosting a showcase event to allow the public to view the students’ Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) project. The Maker Squad was created earlier this year by CCSD teachers, Kelli Schulz and Kelly Borchers, after they saw a surge of popularity in Do-It-Yourself activities. Students have investigated a variety of engaging activities like creating a piano out of carrots and programming computers. Those in attendance will get a glance at what the students are involved in and can participate in a Mystery Maker Challenge for them to join in the fun and learning. The program take place on Monday, April 3 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the CMS Media Center. Students, families, CCSD Staff and the community are welcome to attend.
