CCSD Board Of Education To Talk Early Retirement And Stadium Bonds At Next Meeting

The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education’s December meeting will be held next week and has several topics on the agenda. At the November meeting, the board increased the number of staff members able to take early retirement from five to 10. Which employees and how many will be announced during the upcoming meeting. The board will consider a resolution for the sale of General Obligation Capital Loan Notes not to exceed $6 million to Piper Jaffray & Co. to be used for the construction of the Carroll Athletic Stadium. Transportation and the purchase of new buses will also be discussed. CCSD received bids for two 65-passenger buses from International and Thomas Bus. The board will determine if they wish to purchase new buses and if so, which bid they will choose. The CCSD Board of Education meeting starts at 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 18 in the Adams Elementary boardroom.
