Carroll Man Enters Into Plea Agreement On Forgery, Failure To Appear And Possession Charges

A Carroll man officially entered into a guilty plea in Carroll County District Court on Thursday, Oct. 26. Twenty-four-year-old Canaan Kwan Wilson signed an agreement that stipulates his guilty plea for forgery, a class D felony, possession of a controlled substance, Alprazolam, a serious misdemeanor, and felony failure to appear on Sept. 14 on the first two charges. The plea also says the defendant will be immediately sentenced to five years on the forgery charge, five years on the felony failure to appear and one year on the possession charge, with all sentences to run concurrently and not to exceed five years. Wilson was also given credit for time served. He has been ordered to pay nearly $1,500 to Hog Haven Restoration, LLC of Carroll. The state will ask the Crawford County Attorney to not prosecute Wilson on a forged check passed in that county as part of this agreement.
