A Carroll man has been arrested on third degree burglary charges after an investigation into a July theft. On Thursday, July 13, a tenet in the apartment complex at 310 East 3rd Street in Carroll reported their door had been kicked in and a number of items were taken from the residence. The victim told an officer from the Carroll Police Department they suspected 54-year-old Randall Joseph Woodward, of Carroll, of the crime. At a later date, Woodward admitted to an officer he did break into the apartment and claimed he was only retrieving items taken from his apartment. No report was filed regarding that incident. As a result, Woodward was arrested on Friday, Aug. 4 and charged with third degree burglary, a class D felony.
